The Role:
We’re looking for an AEM Technical Product Owner to own and evolve our Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets and Forms platform.
This is a hands-on, hybrid role combining product ownership, agile leadership, and technical oversight - ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business needs, engineering delivery, and platform governance.
You’ll play a central role in shaping the AEM roadmap, prioritising work, and ensuring teams can create and manage digital assets and form-based experiences efficiently and at scale.
Own the AEM Platform
- Take end-to-end ownership of AEM Assets and Forms, from intake and prioritisation through to delivery and optimisation.
- Manage and maintain a clear, well-prioritised product backlog aligned to business priorities.
- Monitor platform performance, usage, and adoption, and proactively drive improvements.
Drive Delivery & Agile Execution
- Act as Product Owner and Scrum Master for the team.
- Lead sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Partner closely with engineering to shape solutions, estimate work, manage dependencies, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Remove blockers and keep delivery predictable and transparent.
Provide Technical Leadership
- Bring strong working knowledge of AEM architecture, particularly Assets, Forms, metadata, and workflows.
- Guide solution design and ensure alignment with platform standards, governance, and the wider MarTech ecosystem.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis alongside engineering teams.
- Own asset taxonomy, metadata governance, permissions, and workflow automation.
Collaborate Across the Business
- Act as the main point of contact between Marketing Technology, Engineering, Creative Operations, Legal, and business stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly on priorities, timelines, risks, and decisions.
- Support adoption through documentation, training materials, and change management.
Experience:
Must-Have Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or in a hybrid delivery role.
- Hands-on experience with AEM Assets and/or Forms.
- End-to-end ownership of AEM product delivery and backlog prioritization.
- First point of contact for AEM-related issues, incidents, and requests (triage lead - severity, business impact, and event timelines)
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, sprint execution, and backlog management.
- Confident using Jira for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Able to translate business needs into clear user stories and technical requirements.
- Comfortable leading conversations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- AEM certifications (Developer, Architect, or Business Practitioner).
- AEM Expertise in Sites and AEMaaCS
- Experience with DAM strategy, taxonomy design, metadata models, or form workflows.
- Familiarity with AEM integrations, dispatcher/CDN workflows, or cloud environments.
- Background in marketing technology, creative operations, or digital content platforms.
Why This Role?
- High ownership and visibility across a core enterprise platform
- A true blend of product, delivery, and technical influence
- Opportunity to shape how teams create and manage digital experiences at scale
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and engineering leadership
