The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience to join a growing MarTech and digital experience team.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of business, marketing and technology, helping organisations turn complex digital requirements into practical, scalable platform solutions. You will play a key role in connecting business stakeholders with architects, designers and engineering teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and translated into effective technical delivery.
The ideal candidate will understand AEM from a functional and platform perspective and be comfortable working across areas such as content management, digital asset management, integrations, migrations and workflow. You don't need to be a developer, but you should understand how AEM works and how its capabilities and limitations can influence the way solutions are designed.
You will be client-facing and trusted to lead conversations, challenge requirements where appropriate and bring structure to complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering and discovery across Adobe Experience Manager Sites and Assets projects, including implementations, migrations and integrations.
- Translate business and marketing requirements into clear system requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Understand and document AEM-specific considerations including content structures, naming conventions, integrations, workflows and platform dependencies.
- Act as the link between business stakeholders, architects, designers and technical delivery teams.
- Lead stakeholder interviews, workshops and working sessions to establish clear requirements and priorities.
- Manage and maintain a prioritised backlog throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Produce functional specifications, process flows, user journeys and supporting documentation.
- Identify functional gaps and help develop practical solutions aligned with Adobe best practices.
- Ensure requirements, decisions and approvals are clearly documented and traceable.
- Support Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, refinement and other delivery ceremonies.
- Develop training and enablement materials and support knowledge-transfer sessions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and confidently communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years' experience in a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant or requirements-focused role within a digital agency, consultancy or systems integrator.
- Hands-on Adobe Experience Manager experience is essential.
- Strong functional understanding of AEM Sites and Assets, including how content and digital assets are structured, managed and delivered.
- Experience documenting requirements for platform integrations, migrations or complex digital transformation projects.
- Ability to translate technical constraints and concepts into language that business stakeholders can understand.
- Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and functional documentation.
- Comfortable working within Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma and Google Workspace.
Desirable Experience
Experience with one or more of the following would be advantageous:
- Contentful, Optimizely or other enterprise CMS platforms.
- Omnichannel or multi-platform digital implementations.
- Adobe Experience Cloud and wider MarTech ecosystems.
- Adobe Workfront and/or Firefly (implementation project).
- AI technologies and emerging digital methodologies.
- Healthcare or other highly regulated industries.
- Digital agency or consultancy environments.
- Client-facing delivery and stakeholder management.
Why This Role?
This is a great opportunity for an AEM-focused Business Analyst to take on a role with genuine ownership across digital experience projects. You'll be working alongside experienced architects, developers and MarTech specialists while helping shape how enterprise organisations use technology to improve their digital experiences.
